Article 1. General
1.1 The general terms and conditions must be accepted before the agreement is concluded.
Article 2. Conclusion of the Agreement
2.1 At the moment that the consumer accepts the purchase by meeting the set conditions, the agreement comes into effect.
2.2 The order that is requested digitally will be confirmed by 'Ik draag je bij me'. After the confirmation has taken place, the order can still be dissolved by the applicant within 24 hours by e-mail.
Article 3. Dispatch
3.1 During the ordering process you can choose for different ways of shipping with accompanying conditions. I carry you with me' is not responsible for the choice of the shipping method and the resulting consequences.
3.2 'I carry you with me' will send a small package for sending ashes or locks of hair, for example. The consumer is responsible for sending it to the organisation. Information about shipping methods can be obtained from the sender.
Article 4. Returns
4.1 The jewellery is custom-made and therefore has such a personal character that it cannot be returned. Some standard products may be returned within 7 days, provided they are unworn and undamaged, and can be exchanged for a similar or different product in which case the difference in costs will be settled.
4.2 'I carry you with me' will always try to solve any dissatisfaction not attributable to 'I carry you with me' about the delivered jewellery in all reasonableness. The costs will be weighed and in some cases a goodwill offer will be made.
4.3 The costs of returning the goods shall be borne by the consumer.
Article 7. Delivery
7.1 Our starting point is to deliver the ordered jewellery as soon as possible. However, this concerns personal jewellery that is custom-made and we prefer to take our time to give the piece the proper attention. Each piece of jewellery is unique and requires its own time. We will always do our best to indicate the expected delivery time. We assume an average delivery time of 4-8 weeks for customised work. Often we are faster, sometimes it takes a bit longer because of the intermediate steps that are necessary to manufacture the jewellery as requested. We will always strive to indicate in time that a delivery is delayed. The consumer may also always inquire about the state of affairs.
7.2 If an order cannot be delivered within the agreed deadline, timely communication and a solution will be sought.
7.3 The prices listed on the website are inclusive of VAT and exclusive of additional options and shipping costs. The costs for these additional options and the shipping costs can be chosen during the ordering process and are always made known and visible before the order is submitted.
7.4 Payment shall be made by one of the offered payment methods upon completion of the order. At the moment of payment and acceptance of the general terms and conditions, the order will have been placed.
Article 9. Defects and guarantee
9.1 Any defects or errors will be reported in writing within 48 hours of receipt of the order, accompanied by a photo in which the defect is clearly visible. 'I carry you with me' will provide an appropriate solution.
9.2 The consumer is responsible for the proper handling and maintenance of the jewellery. Damage caused by careless wear or maintenance, other than described in the supplied guidelines, is the responsibility of the consumer. In that case 'I carry you with me' will always look for an appropriate solution, so that the jewellery will remain beautiful and can be worn for a long time.
9.3 If damage occurs to a piece of jewellery that is the fault of 'Ik draag je bij me', an appropriate solution will always be sought. There will always be contact with 'Ik draag je bij me' first. When jewellery is repaired by third parties without prior consultation with 'Ik draag je bij me', the responsibility of 'Ik draag je bij me' lapses.
9.4 The return costs of the shipment are at the expense of the sender. In case of return shipment, the costs will be charged to 'Ik draag je bij me'.
Article 10. Applicable law
10.1 Only Dutch law shall apply to the agreement and these general terms and conditions.
Article 11. Complaints and Disputes
11.1 If there is a complaint, please submit it to us as soon as possible and we will deal with it within two weeks. If we are unable to find a suitable solution, the complaint can be submitted to the Geschillencommissie Thuiswinkel, Postbus 90600, 2509 LP The Hague, against payment of a complaint fee of € 52.50 (this will be refunded if the complainant is found to be in the right). 11.2 In the event of force majeure, 'I carry you with me' will not be held responsible for any damage or loss incurred. I carry you with me' will always seek a suitable solution.
Article 12. Warranty
12.1 There is a warranty period of 2 years on the personal jewellery, provided there is no improper use. Wearing instructions are sent with every order and are also listed on the website. It is the customer's responsibility to be aware of these instructions. I carry you with me' will always check whether a problem with a piece of jewellery is covered by the guarantee and will always try to find a solution within reason. On non-personalised jewellery and gold-plated jewellery, we apply a guarantee period of 1 year, provided it is worn according to the instructions. We do not guarantee discounted jewellery, even when personalised afterwards.
